I was a little worried when I got the pillow because it felt pretty heavy. I have had a couple of those heated rice bags and they were so heavy that they hurt my neck more than they helped. But, after putting this on, all my worries disappeared. It doesn't feel heavy at all once you put it on and it's very comfortable. The pillow conforms to your neck and shoulders really well and the material is super soft. It stays in place, even while lying down, and it keeps the heat for much longer than the rice bags I've had. One thing that I think sets this product above similar products is that it's split into 6 pouches so you can wear it laying down or sitting up and the flax seeds don't all bunch up on a side or the bottom of the pillow. In my opinion, it's well worth the price and I'll be ordering another one so I can have one at work and one at home.
